The round, tickets and the draw

How a round runs, every way to earn tickets, and how the winners are drawn fairly.

A round lasts a few months. When it ends, the Medicus launches and seats are drawn from the tickets everyone earned.

Earning tickets

Tickets can never be bought. They come only from playing:

  • Daily check-in: 1 a day, plus 5 more for every 7 days in a row.
  • Leaderboard placings at the end of the round, in several categories.
  • Survival: a bonus for never dying, smaller for each clone generation.
  • Competitions, achievements, faction wins and rare finds.

Every ticket is recorded with where it came from. You can see yours on Tickets.

The end of the round

  • Evacuation week: the last 168 hours. Things get more dangerous and more rewarding.
  • Lockdown: actions freeze and the final standings are taken.
  • The draw: winners are picked from the ticket list.

Why the draw is fair

When the round starts, the game publishes a fingerprint of a secret number. At the draw it reveals the number, and anyone can check the result matches. Nobody, not even the admin, can change the outcome after the fact. You must be 18 or over and entered in the draw to win a prize.
